From Transition to Transformation: Why I Founded Oyster Dome
For most of my life, I held myself to an impossibly high standard. Like many women, I navigated the world with a drive to achieve, yet I often carried a quiet weight: body shame, a constant desire to lose weight, and a closet full of clothes that I "hoped" to fit into again.
The true turning point came when my maternity leave ended. After four months of pouring my soul into my newborn daughter, Emma, I prepared to re-enter the "real world." I stood before my closet and realized I didn't have a single thing to wear that made me feel like me. My body had changed, my life had changed, and my confidence had vanished.
In that moment, I realized what I needed wasn't just a stylist—I needed a guide. I needed someone who could support me the way an OBGYN supports a new mother, but for my closet and my mindset. I needed permission to let go of the "old me" so I could bravely stand on my toes and face the new world.
